Bojagi: The Art of Korean Textiles

Bojagi (wrapping cloths) are Korean textiles which are pieced together from small scraps of cloth and are perhaps the most unique form of Korean textile art. The designs and colours are strikingly contemporary and call to mind the works of modern abstract artists such as Paul Klee and Piet Mondrian. The tradition is increasingly popular with today’s textiles artists and quilters and bojagi designs can be seen in the work of many contemporary makers.
